About

The Kid Lit Project: Priya Prithiviraj

The Kid Lit Project is dedicated to understanding and sharing modern children's literature, popularly known as "kid lit." Based on the strong belief that every child must see themselves in the books they read, it was started by Priya Prithiviraj in 2015 as a blog to review children's books with linguistically and culturally diverse themes. Today, besides sharing children's book reviews and recommendations, the Kid Lit Project has grown to share home literacy tips, teaching ideas and activities using kid lit, author interviews on writing kid lit, and hopes to serve as a resource for parents, teachers, librarians, and writers of kid lit. Through promoting kid lit, the Kid Lit Project hopes to support children's reading and literacy engagement.
